AOn the occasion of ROMADAY, the British Turner Prize nominee Delaine Le Bas presents her installation NO/KNOW in Berlin. At the exhibition opening, Delaine Le Bas will bring her works to life with an interactive performance and invite visitors to engage in an artistic dialog.

In the film Delainia17071965Unfolding the only word that can be heard is No/Know spoken by the artist from her mouth from a face you can not see. Continuing with the themes of Beware Of Linguistic Engineering presented for the 5.Berliner Herbstsalon at Gorki in 2021 the artist continues. In these times that we currently find ourselves in as always is No - No to to the current circumstances or Know to to the knowledge of the recurring circumstances we all find ourselves in. In the form of a film, installation and performance on the opening night of the 8th April 2025 the performers perform No/Know in the now.

Delaine Le Bas was born in Worthing, U.K, in 1965. She studied at St Martins School Of Art London. Delaine is a cross-disciplinary artist creating installations, performance, photography and film. Her works focus on issues of identity, race, gender, sexuality and the continued violence and exclusions against whoever is perceived as “the other” within society.
