After an impressive performance by Delaine Le Bas, the evening continues with a concert in the Grüner Salon. Mal Élevé, Kastro & Friends will shake the stage with their powerful, politically engaged music.
Mal Élevé combines music and resistance: with his mixture of reggae, dancehall, ska, rap and punk, the former lead singer of Irie Révoltés stands for an uncompromising declaration of war against fascism, capitalism and sexism - and for global solidarity. His songs are more than just music, they are political protest and a call for solidarity.
Microphone Master Kastro is the pioneer of Roma hip hop. In his
lyrics, he deals with the consequences of the wars in Yugoslavia, with racism against Roma and human rights. For him, music is an instrument of empowerment and he is fascinated by the resistance potential of hip hop with its roots in the black community. Because of his last album “Kastro Against White Supremacy”, he was persecuted in his country of origin, had to flee and now continues to fight.
