FILM NIGHT

Voices, Images, Perspectives

18:30 - 20:30 • Grüner Salon

EN/DE
As part of the ROMADAY program, we are showing three short films that highlight diverse, independent and intersectional perspectives on Roma realities. The productions come from Germany, UK, Poland and Sweden - and tell stories beyond common stereotypes.

The focus is on cinematic works by Roma directors and filmmakers who deal intensively with Roma issues in their artistic practice.

On show will be:

• German language, difficult language - Sejad Ademaj
(Germany, 2023, 9 min, short film)

• Gypsy Gadji - Dáša Raimanova
(Poland/UK, 2024, 28 min, documentary)

• Chavo - Alecio Araci
(Sweden, 2023, 15 min, short fiction film)

After the screening, we invite you to a moderated discussion with the filmmakers, led by director Otto Lazić-Reuschel, who has also been a program coordinator for the Ake Dikhea? Film Festival in recent years. The discussion will take place in a hybrid format and will be held in English, with an option for whispered translation into German on-site.
